Coping during the coronavirus outbreak: helpful info

Here’s some additional helpful information to help you cope during this time.

1 College students: For anyone who has had to leave their campus abruptly, U-Haul is offering college students 30 days of free storage!

2. Enterprise: The car rental company is temporarily reducing the minimum age to 18 through May 31st, to help students get home. In addition to their driver’s license, students will need their university-issued ID.

3. Grab and Go Breakfast: Some states have continued their meal program for public school students, providing free breakfast and lunch to go.

4. Talking to children about COVID-19: Bright Horizons gives some helpful tips on how to discuss coronavirus with children.

5. Online learning resources: In addition to Scholastic (which I mentioned in an earlier post, there are several other online learning tools for the children:

  • Prodigy – A math platform for grades 1 through 8.
  • Epic! – A digital library offering free access to parents for the remainder f the school year.
  • PBS LearningMedia – A platform that offers resources for students from pre-k and up.

5. Disney Plus: If you have a Verizon account and have not done so already, you can create a Disney Plus account and get the service for free for one year!
