A friend of mind picked this book up while vacationing in the UK and it is one of my faves to read with my daughter! My oldest daughter is a book worm and would randomly pick up this book. She reads it so much she’s begun to memorize the names of the famous black women…at the age of three! It serves as a way to remind our children that the list of professions that they can take on when they grow up is vast. The book can be found on Amazon here. As a thank you, I got that same friend this book for their son, which has well known male black leaders in it, from Charles Drew to Chuck D.
Vashti Harrison is a pretty dope author; I’ve picked up other books from her to read with my little ones and I can’t wait to review them 🙂
